Question: Why should I use the EMP-Centauri 4x1 Diseqc switch when my
Free to Air receiver already came with a Diseqc Switch?
Answer:
The Free Diseqc switch that Free to Air resellers provide are cheap $1 switch.
Most common problems with these cheap switches is signal loss, missing channels,
blown port(s), not waterproof and freezing.
 
DiSEqC 2.0 4in/1out switch in a weatherproof housing. The inputs are
controlled from the satellite receiver by Write N0 “Position” and “Option”
commands. The unit allows connection of up to 4 satellite dishes to one
satellite receiver, and is through for 22 kHz and DiSEqC signals. (Any 4
Satellite to 1 FTA receivers)
Important Notes:
- We have only tested this switch for FTA receivers.
- We have not tested this switch with Dish Pro LNBFs. (Any LNBFs with
built-in switch may not work.)
- When connecting/disconnecting receivers, you MUST unplug the receivers,
otherwise switch can be shorted.
